Have you thought about how to move your telecoms?
Don’t worry because we are here to ensure a smooth transition with little or no disruption to your business.
As we administer your calls and lines, we take care of relocating these services for you, however if you have a separate Broadband provider, you will need to contact them so they can also provision the move.
BT facilitates the relocation of your lines, so we place a work order with them to complete this job. BT currently work with a lead time of approx. 6 – 8 weeks, so the more notice you can give us, the better. Unfortunately BT charge for this service so our Lines Provisioning Team will deal with this and they will be in contact with a quotation.
This would be preferable because once we place a line order and are given a date by BT, there will be an additional charge should you change this.
In terms of your telecoms equipment, part of our relocation service includes a site survey. We will arrange this at a time convenient to you when you have access to the new premises. The survey will determine whether the new premises are ready for us to install the system, and if not, what is required for us to do so.
During the survey you will have a chance to discuss a basic floor plan with our engineer and any requirements for additional handsets etc. If there are additional works that are required we will advise you as soon as possible.
We use a guide price of £1075.00+VAT this will cover your survey and one engineer for a full day to relocate and reinstall the system, as well as connect and test the lines.
If we identify that more works are required, we will speak to you first before adjusting any costs, so you know what the cost will remain at.
We do ask that the new premises are cabled with points correctly terminated to enable us to install the system. We do not provide cabling services as standard and it is not included in the move cost. If you do require additional cabling, we can arrange this for you, however, we use a sub-contracting company and this will be a separate charge.
It may be an idea to get your IT department/technician, or electrician to carry out the internal cabling to keep costs down.
Once you are happy to proceed with the site move please could you provide the following information as soon as possible:
- New premises address details including a full postcode
- Target date for the move
- At what stage you are with the new premises?
- Do you require any additional equipment?
When you are happy to proceed, we will arrange for the paperwork to be sent out for you to e-sign and send back. Once we have received this back we can then arrange for the site survey to be completed. Please remember that our Line Provisioning team will be in contact to provide a quotation once an address is confirmed.
